Any study of the New Testament makes clear that God's people are here in this world mainly for
outreach to those still outside the Kingdom of God. At Blue Ridge, we place importance on the
regular preaching of God's Word, fellowship together, mutual edification, Communion, Baptism,
singing praise to God, and giving tithes. Nevertheless, we are constantly aware of His charge to be
making disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to obey the Lord Jesus. This is
the heart of worldwide missions.

Commitment to Missions Ministry

We seek to be a part of God's work beyond our local community by an emphasis on worldwide
missions. Once a year, we set aside one month to focus on what God is doing in and through our
Ministry Partners. We then translate these updates into yearly commitments of prayer and financial
support.

Purpose of Outreach

Why Ministry Partners?

We use the term "ministry partner" to remind us and our partners of the sharing we have in the
ministry together of proclaiming Christ and Him crucified. It speaks of the share we have in the
responsibility and in the reward.

Here are the Ministry Partners the Leadership has evaluated and put before the congregation for
consideration in their missions giving and prayers.

Dennis & Marcia Bailey	Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF)	Fairview, NC	Camp Goodnews in Fairview, NC is their primary location, but the Baileys have been reaching children in western NC for many years.
Catherine Beck	Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF)	Asheville, NC	Catherine has served many faithful years with CEF reaching children in the greater Asheville, NC area with the Gospel.
John Buynitzky	Helps International Ministries (HIM)	Latin America	John started with HIM as an accountant, but has since moved at God's call to Latin America where he teaches in a local seminary and ministers among the Spanish-speaking people, teaching English and the Bible.
Mindy Denney & Anita Bodenhammer	House of Hope Western NC	Hendersonville, NC	A part of the National House of Hope located in Orlando, FL, the House of Hope WNC is a fledgling ministry getting started in the Hendersonville, NC area to reach at-risk youth and their families with the life-transforming power of the Gospel.
Miriam Gebb	HCJB Global	Shell, Ecuador	Miriam is serving through medical care and educating volunteers to meet local health and spiritual needs in their jungle environment.
The Gideons	Gideons International	Worldwide	The Gideons are an association of Christian business people and have many camps throughout the world. They are especially known for the Bibles they distribute in hotel rooms and for the New Testaments they distribute around the world. We keep regular contact with the local camp in Hendersonville, NC.
Adam & Ruth Huntley	Wycliffe Bible Translators	Now Texas and France; ultimately Africa	Adam & Ruth are in the process of completing their schooling with Wycliffe with the goal of Scripture translation on the continent of Africa.
Jack Morrison	The Master's Mission	Robbinsville, NC	Jack serves at the Master's Mission as coordinator for their Active Duty Missionary outreach program for military personnel.
Bruce Woodman	Impact International	Latin America	Bruce is founder and featured speaker on the Impacto radio program reaching Latin America with the good news of Jesus Christ. He also travels frequently throughout Latin America to preach at the Impact International crusades.
